3D PUFF PRINTING
3D puff printing adds a raised, foam-backed dimension to screen prints, creating tactile designs that demand attention. Used extensively in premium headwear and streetwear, puff printing is available in multiple height levels and can be combined with flat screen printing for mixed-texture designs.
Multiple Puff Heights
Low, medium, and high puff levels available. Higher puff = more dramatic texture.
Perfect for Headwear
The gold standard for premium caps and beanies. Logos pop with bold dimensional impact.
Combine with Flat Print
Mix puff and flat elements in one design for premium visual contrast.
HOW WE DO IT
Artwork Preparation
Design is separated into puff and flat elements. Puff areas are identified and marked for foam ink application.
Screen Making
Separate screens are made for puff ink layers and flat ink layers. Puff screens use a thicker mesh for greater ink deposit.
Puff Ink Application
Foam additive is mixed into the ink and applied through the puff screen. The ink appears flat at this stage.
Heat Activation
Garments pass through a curing dryer. The foam additive expands under heat, creating the raised 3D texture permanently.
Final QC
Each piece is checked for puff height consistency, edge definition, and color accuracy before packing.
